Oakland Airport – Oakland is located a short distance from San Francisco and San Jose.  It too is a smaller airport that serves many people.

• I have used this airport several times.  I just prefer San Jose if I have to travel by myself.
• Oakland Airport was not as clean, friendly or “safe” as the others (this is just my opinion).
• I have never rented a car here and cannot tell you about their service.
• This airport is not located in the heart of the Bay Area so travel to and from might be somewhat hindered by traffic but nothing like SFO.
• Most major Domestic Airlines fly here.
