Sacramento International Airport - This is our airport of choice and is located in Sacramento County.  It is only 30 minutes away from Sunrise Rollerland.

• There are currently two terminals but this airport continues to provide a “hometown” feeling that is not available at most International Airports.
• I have flown hundreds of times in and out of this airport and the worst thing that I can say about SMF is that they are a little slow with getting the luggage out to the travelers (I have waited as much as 45 minutes).
• The staff is usually friendly and helpful.
• Renting cars is easy to do although you do have to take a quick shuttle to the rental car area; which is usually painless.
• There is not much shopping available in the airport but they are constantly working to update and improve this airport.
• The flights can be a few dollars more than some of the others, but you will not have that 2+ hour drive and hassle of other large more congested airports.
• All major domestic carriers do fly into Sacramento.
